Indexes

What is/are the differences between narrow and wide indexes ?Narrow are small in size and wide are large. By size I mean the number of
bytes used for all the columns included in the index. A narrow index may be
one that is on a single integer column and would be 4 bytes. A wide one
could be a 3 column compound index.
