Info on Licence / Connection

Please let me know the difference between a Licence and a Connection in SQL
Server.
Do I need to have a licence for each connection ?

There is no relationship between connections and licenses. Sql Server is
licensed either under a per processor model or server+cal model. In the per
processor model you can have unlimited connections from any number of users
and devices. In the server+cal model you must have a cal for each user, or
for each device which accesses sql server. A licensed user or device can
have any many connections to the server, or many users can share a few
connections.
